The Administrative Coordinator II, under general supervision, is responsible for providing administrative support for the College of Arts & Sciences Marketing and Communications Team. We're seeking someone who enjoys providing office support, logistics and supervising student workers. The Administrative Coordinator II, will coordinate the delivery, pick up, or retrieval of documents, supplies, equipment, or materials. Interpret and communicate policies and procedures and serve as a resource for answering questions regarding policies, and serve as a liaison for departmental equipment and service contracts. What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of office administrative and/or communications experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, database and presentation applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills and planning and organization skills.

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of email marketing applications, and ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Experience with processing work requests and customer satisfaction, calendar management and database management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Office Support - Manages office activities including office supplies and equipment, online office materials, and preparing technology, like monitors, common-area computers, and phones. Coordinates the delivery, pick up, or retrieval of documents, supplies, equipment, or materials. Interprets and communicates policies and procedures and serve as a resource for answering questions regarding policies, and serves as a liaison for departmental equipment and service contracts. Provides administrative support to the director.
  • Logistics - Coordinates administrative tasks including planning for meetings, appointments, and conferences. Coordinates room reservations, calendars, food orders, and coordinate on-site set up and clean up.
  • Departmental Contact and Reception - Responds to and routes inbound questions through phone, email, and USPS mail for the various activities to the creative team. Manages the front desk of the office.
  • Supervision - Supervises student workers. Trains student workers on all office procedures. Coaches and evaluates professional development of student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
