The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for an Administrative Coordinator I to serve as a member of SPH Student Affairs administrative support team. Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Two years of experience in office administration or project management including some supervisory experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software programs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

  • Five or more years’ experience in responsible management experience, preferably higher education, including some supervisor experience.

Responsibilities:

  •  Serves as office manager, provides administrative support for the Office of Student Affairs. Maintains office supplies and equipment. Prepares forms and receipts for supply and travel purchases for the Office. Monitors compliance of student records with all University, HSC, state and federal regulations. Supervises the creation and maintenance and retention of office files and records. Assists in resolving complex, highly sensitive and confidential administrative matters. May supervise, train and evaluate student assistants

  • Assists with admissions processing, including intake of applications to the graduate program. Provides administrative support to ensure the team is meeting internal timelines and ensures deadlines are met

  • Plans and provides logistical and administrative support for events, meetings or other special functions, including scholarship processing, New Graduate Student Orientation, and recruitment events, etc, Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives, as well as creating reports, analyses and surveys as requested. Participates and/or chairs meetings for student services

  • Primary contact for all inquiries received to the Office of Student Affairs, including information requests, scheduling prospective appointments, and management of staff calendars. Assists with website development, presentations and external communications for prospective and current students, alumni and the general public.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
