We are seeking a part-time, temporary Administrative Coordinator I, to provide administrative support to administrators/directors and for specialized activities within the Graduate and Professional School. This position participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations in Grad School and may schedule and coordinate meetings, seminars, and special events, provide on-site support, coordinate the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, and review documents. The successful candidate will be adaptable to change and able to work in a team environment while entrusted to complete individual projects, as needed. Position Details: This is a temporary, part-time position.

Pay Range: $16.04 - $20.61 hourly (Based on selected hire’s qualifications)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience in office administration

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment while entrusted to complete individual projects as needed
  • Interpersonal and communication skills as well as planning and organization skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, maintain records and documentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years of experience in office administration

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support - Works under general supervision and participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. Provides administrative support to administrators/directors within the Graduate and Professional School. Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices. Develops, evaluates, and ensures compliance with office policies and procedures. Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.
  • Activity Support - Provides administrative support for specialized activities led and facilitated by the Graduate and Professional School. May provide on-site support. Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives. Performs special analyses and project summaries and monitors project timelines.  Makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Meeting Support - Coordinates meetings and seminars and may provide on-site support. Attends meetings and formulates minutes and memos independently. Reviews documents for supervisor or meeting lead. Performs other duties as assigned.
