The Administrative Coordinator I will provide advanced administrative support for assigned faculty members as well, as the Texas A&M Law Review, Journal of Property Law and other assigned groups.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

  • Two years of experience in office administration.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Planning and organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education experience.

  • Experience in coordinating travel in Concur a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support - Provides direct support to assigned faculty, which includes drafting and managing correspondence and communications, scheduling appointments and manages calendar, coordinating travel arrangements, compiling reports, maintaining records and other documentation. Assesses requirements for projects and initiatives. Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinates meetings and special events; planning work and assists supervisor in determining work priorities; analyzing requirements for projects or initiatives; tracking, anticipating, and preparing for upcoming deadlines, events, and agenda items that require action by assigned faculty; attends meetings or committees on behalf of the supervisor.

  • Reporting - Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Posts information to agency records and modifies forms or records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, and other documents. Composes correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations, including editing and proofreading.

  • Events - Plans and coordinates logistical and administrative support for events, meetings, or other special functions and provides on-site support for the Texas A&M University School of Law.
