Job Description

Works under general supervision and provides administrative support for a unit or specialized activity to include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates logistics with Camp SOAR for prospective undergraduates (planning starts in October for July camp).
  • Coordinates named lectureships, seminars, and other special events. Provides on-site support, including travel, logistics, keep attendance records, and other items needed.
  • Helps with overall calendar tracking for recurrent and one-time department deadlines.
  • Supports the ABET process with data gathering, organization, report editing and formatting, etc.
  • Coordinates annual departmental scholarship process.
  • Coordinates annual departmental banquet.
  • Assists with course scheduling.
  • Assists with Hagler Institute Fellows or other VIP visits and travel.
  • Provides clerical support to departmental administration as needed.
  • Coordinates AERO's Critical Design Review each semester (May, December).
  • Coordinate Graduate Teaching Fellow seminars and food.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Two years of related experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Preferred experience with TAMU system travel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organization skills.
