The Administrative Coordinator I, in the Office of Admissions at Texas A&M University at Qatar is responsible for coordinating administrative support functions in the Office of Admissions. Promotes communication between functional areas and outside units. Supervises, trains, and evaluates the work of other support staff and/or Student Workers. Coordinates administrative activities and services relating to office procedures. Coordinates and monitors action items. Assists in providing solutions to recurring or unusual administrative problems. Plans and coordinates logistical and administrative support for events, meetings, specialized activities, projects, long term initiatives, or new programs. Coordinates office records retention, and applicants’ documents. Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

This position is NOT located in the United States. One must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience in office administration

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and working knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Responsibilities:

  • Admissions Processing - Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. Reviews and coordinates multiple admission documents. Processing initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications. Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, order equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures and policies.
  • Administrative/Student Recruitment Support - Coordinates with high school counselors to setup dates for school visits (virtual and on campus). Coordinates administrative activities and services relating to office procedures. Coordinates and monitors action items. Assists in providing solutions to recurring administrative problems. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Office Management - Manages Test Scores registration, results and notifications. Screening supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility. Identifying discrepancies in information and conducting follow-ups. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives. Coordinates office records retention and applicants’ documents.
  • Event Planning Support - Plans and coordinates logistical and administrative support for events, meetings and other special functions including on-site support.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the work on student workers - Trains and evaluates the work of student workers. Supervises and assigns tasks to student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
