Job Type/Schedule

This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.  Occasional adjustments to the schedule may be required to accommodate various projects.  

Department Name/Job Location

This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology. The position is located at Wohl Hospital. This position is for the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions


Position coordinates office functions, programs and schedules, provides administrative services, and performs specialized/technical duties with minimal supervision.


  • Provides diversified secretarial and administrative support.
  • Reviews medical transcription for accuracy and coordinates correspondences.
  • Maintains calendar of meetings, appointments, and out of office days.
  • Arranges and coordinates work-related travel and meetings.
  • Answers phone and screens and routes calls providing information in accordance with Division policy.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail; distributes correspondences and other material.
  • Provides assistance in the day-to-day administration of physician practices.
  • Provides occasional coverage in the absence of other supportive staff in the Gastroenterology Division.
  • Maintains the Qgenda physician clinic and procedure schedule for the Division.
  • Assists with transplant hepatology fellowship.
  • Assists patients in scheduling of follow-up appointments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Required Qualifications

    • Equivalent of an associate degree.
    • Two to four years of experience in administrative support. 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Epic.
    • Experience in a university/medical environment.
    • ABR-OE certification. 

    Salary Range

    The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
