Description

 

General Description:

The purpose of this Nashville-based position is to provide primary support to the CTAS Training Department in the planning, coordinating, promoting, administering, and delivering a broad range of training and professional development programs for county government officials and employees. These courses are delivered statewide, in each state region, through the County Officials Certificate Training Program (COCTP) and other CTAS training programs. Additionally, this position provides general administrative support to the management team, central office staff, and consultants. This position provides phone support, copying, filing, and accounting services to the agency and customers. This position is responsible for collecting and depositing approximately $100,000 in training fees. This position must accurately account for fees received and provide financial reports as requested.

 



Qualifications

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position serves as first-line support to county officials and employees. Also serving the Institute for Public Service and sister agencies regarding questions and requests for assistance. The employee assists customers with questions regarding transcripts, certification, recertification procedures, and related requests. This position works with multiple online systems, which include, but are not limited to, the Learning Management System, accounts receivable, invoicing, and the University's SAP system and travel system.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Requires a high school diploma; Associate's Degree preferred with an emphasis on office administration.

Experience:

This position requires three years of work experience in an office administrative setting. Prefer three or more years of experience working in Government service and/or adult education.

Skills:

In addition, this position requires good writing and communication skills, computer skills and skills in database management in Microsoft Outlook. Also, must be able to work flexible hours.

Location:

Nashville, TN

This position must be able to travel and be available to deploy for immediate travel to perform job duties. If a private vehicle is used for business related purposes, automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
