This position provides administrative support to the Mechanical Engineering Department, and is the first point of contact for guests, visitors, students, faculty, and staff who visit, or call the department. The position oversees the daily operational aspects of running the department, while ensuring the big picture objectives and goals are supported in their efforts, including support related to the Director and Chair's vision. This position will be directly supporting events, seminars, and meetings, including associated logistics i.e. space reservations, catering, AV equipment needs. This position provides support to the departments academic and finance team and projects assigned by the Department Director and Chair.


Bachelors Degree and 1-3 years of experience. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to work well with a diverse student population; ability to develop and manage relationships across various stakeholders (i.e. students, faculty, program and university administration); ability to work both independently and as part of a team; demonstrated ability to be self-motivate with problem solving; Professional demeanor and excellent customer service abilities.
