Job Summary
Performs a variety of administrative, fiscal, planning and staff support activities. Serves as primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. Provides complex administrative assistance in the areas of program/project planning, research development and analysis and special project support by compiling statistics and information. Analyzes data, preparing reports and making appropriate recommendations. Maintains the department’s internet and social media presence. May serve on a variety of committees in a support capacity. Supervises assigned personnel. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of administrative experience.
• Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and five (5) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration or related field.
• Administrative office experience in a university setting.
• Experience in grant administration.
• Experience in bookkeeping.

• Strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on integrity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality on a wide range of issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work on a team and practice inclusion with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
