Job Description:


The Administrative Coordinator provides executive assistance to the Deans in the Office of Medical Education and the Assistant Director of the Office of Medical Education. The Administrative Coordinator also provides administrative support to pre-clerkship course leaders and other department administrators. This position is the first point of contact for students, faculty, and administration for the Office of Medical Education. This position provides administrative support for curriculum programs. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator assists in preparing and coordinating exam processes, including proctoring. The Administrative Coordinator coordinates small group sessions, parking permit processes oversees the lending library and its tracking database, coordinates student payroll, and schedules and supports curriculum committee (MDCC) meetings monthly. The Administrative Coordinator works with the Assistant Director of the Office of Medical Education as the lead coordinator to help identify any staffing needs on a day-to-day basis.


  • Bachelorâ™s degree required plus 1-2 years of related administrative experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Academic work experience preferred

  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a Diverse and inclusive campus community.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Good computer skills: Workday, database maintenance, desktop publishing, Filemaker, and another computer software

  • Good writing/editing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with a diverse population of administrators, students, faculty

  • Experience in budget/payroll management
