Pay Range Information
Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Provides comprehensive administrative support to the director which includes procedural implementation of administrative and business office practices and coordination of operational tasks as assigned. 
Responsibilities
  • Coordinates protocols and processes pertaining to medical inventory including initiating medical supply purchasing and payment services as well as perform weekly/monthly reconciliations.
  • Maintains protocols and processes pertaining to pharmaceutical inventory management and controls including purchasing, stocking and storage as well as following protocols to secure inventory.
  • Maintain reports and business accounts for third party vendors such as United Health Care to ensure timely reimbursements.
  • Assist with maintaining confidential, effective, and efficient office practices and interactions to support the highest standard of HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintains records and provides reminders regarding licensing and required trainings for clinical staff members. 
Required Qualifications
  • Experience providing administrative and business office support in a university health center or clinical setting.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and pay attention to detail while supporting the daily operation of a university health center or clinical setting.
  • Experience coordinating services with third party vendors, as well as purchasing, and reconciling accounts on a monthly basis. 
  • Ability to maintain information related to administrative, business and clinical policies and procedures in a health center setting.
  •  Keen on understanding pharmaceutical operations and applicable laws and regulations. 
  • The ability to work independently shows good judgment and discretion.
