Required Education and Experience:

  • High school graduation or any equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Four years of experience general office or clerical work

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Other Requirements or Other Factors:

  • Ability to work flexible hours (nights, weekends, and holidays)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four years of related experience to include student group supervision

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet, desktop publishing, web design and word processing software programs
  • Interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative - Provide administrative support to the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association office, members and board of directors. Manage database functions to include updating all member profiles, logging membership payments and generating membership reports. Oversee the daily operation, organization and functionality of the Lettermen's Association offices and assist the Director and Assistant Director as needed. Process all membership payments and deposits as required. Provide support for all Lettermen’s Club reservations and operations including facility setup, use of audio and video equipment, and coordination of catering or other food and beverage needs. Serve as primary representative for tracking, ordering and distributing Texas A&M Athletic Letter Awards. This includes receiving letter lists from each sport, alerting student-athletes of lettered status as necessary, coordinating the sizing and ordering of specific customized letter award for each student-athlete, and distributing those awards via in-person pickup, drop off or delivery. 
  • Event Planning - Manage all RSVP's, payments, and correspondence related to events. Provide advanced support in all aspects of planning, implementing, and coordinating events, such as tailgates, reunions, career networking mixers and game day activities.
  • Graphics/Social Media Support - Assist in designing all graphics to include fliers, brochures, video graphics, sponsor banners, name badges, etc. Responsible for maintaining all social media accounts and websites.
  • Advisor - Serve as co-advisor to student volunteer groups to include scheduling, supervising and mentoring all members of Team 12 and the Diamond Darlings.
  • Compliance - Maintain continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Southeastern Conference and Texas A&M University rules and regulations. Establish and ensure communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.  Compliance is a shared responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned.
