This Administrative Associate I is responsible for performing general office support duties. We are seeking an individual with great interpersonal skills, preferred working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and experience performing clerical work or general office duties. Required Education and Experience:

  • High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One year of experience in general office or clerical work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs.

  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills.

  • Keyboarding skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Experience:

  • More than one year of experience in general office or clerical work.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Adobe photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

  • Reception - Answers phone and inquiries. Assists walk-ins, students, faculty, and staff. Accepts late homework and reschedules students into makeup labs the same week they miss. Assists teaching assistants with office materials and office equipment. Receives orders, coordinates disability services exams, and assists public inquiries.

  • Records - Assists the Senior Office Associate and Technical Lab Coordinator with ordering course materials, receiving materials, and maintaining the order database and filing records for the Introductory Biology Program.

  • Regulation - Works with staff to maintain office procedures manual, regulations, T.A. training handbooks, and related information.

  • Exam Production  - Assists with copying, scantron management, key production, MARS coordination, and filing exams and exam records. Maintains the required record retention schedules  for courses in Introductory Biology.

  • Support - Supports the Senior Office Associate, Associate Director, Technical Lab Coordinator, and faculty with administrative projects, reports, databases, scheduling, and related subjects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
