Organization: National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation

Location: 1701 4th Street SW  Albuquerque, NM  87102

An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award

The mission of the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation (NHCCF) is to inspire connection and investment to the
preservation, promotion, and advancement of all Hispanic people through experiences, art, culture, and humanities.

The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) presents exhibitions, lectures, book readings, performing arts, and educational
programing that are meaningful to the local community. It offers the Hispanic, Chicano and Latinx artists a place to present their
work and bring it to the national stage. The NHCC is committed to making a cultural home for the diverse identities that shape the community.
1. Board of Trustees and Committee Support:
o Develop and maintain a streamlined Google Docs filing system for Board of Trustees and Board
Committee documents.
o Provide presentations and training sessions to board members on how to utilize the system effectively.
o Ensure all critical agreements and documents are regularly updated and organized.
o Manage Board and Committee logistics, including scheduling, meeting minutes, and other
administrative tasks. By doing so, you help ensure that our leadership is well-equipped to make
informed decisions that benefit the community.

2. Board Meeting Agenda Collaboration:
o Work closely with the Board Chair, CEO, and COO to establish thoughtful and impactful agenda items for
Board Meetings. This collaboration ensures that our board's discussions and decisions align with our
community service goals.

3. Marketing and Program Support:
o Provide valuable support to the Vice President of Marketing and Programs.
o Assist in creating and distributing monthly e-newsletters, which inform the community about our
initiatives and opportunities to get involved.
o Contribute to social media initiatives that promote our community service efforts, inspiring others to
join our cause.

4. Membership Management:
o Process membership-related tasks, including data entry and organization in our CRM tool (Raiser’s
Edge/BlackBaud). This ensures that our community members are engaged and informed about our
services and programs.

5. Volunteer Programs:
o Support and enhance our volunteer programs to ensure that we are able to cultivate a consistent
volunteer base. This involves marketing and contacting a base of volunteers on a regular basis. These
programs are at the heart of our community service, engaging individuals who are eager to give back.

6. Community Education:
o Research how the NHCC Foundation can be a better partner within the community
o Create tools to get the population of the Greater Albuquerque area involved with the educational and
art aspects that the NHCC has to offer. Additionally, increase the profile of the NHCC Foundation
nationally, by using and adapting these tools for a nationwide audience

Be prepared to take on other duties that may arise from time to time and as assigned by the organization.
