This position serves as Administrative Support for the School of Business Student and Academic Services office and works closely with the Business Analyst and Office Manager. This position also processes applications and scholarships for the undergraduate program and involves general administrative support of average difficulty to be completed with minimal supervision. Responsibilities follow established regulations, policies and procedures and also include basic office tasks and utilization of standard office tools, equipment and technology.
Undergraduate Admissions, Scholarships and Enrollment Coordination - 40%
Independently coordinates and processes applications for admissions and scholarships to the undergraduate program adhering to set admissions deadlines. Tasks include but are not limited to preparing, reporting and communicating with staff and students regarding Admissions and Scholarships adhering to University and School of Business policies and procedures. Process honor roll and honor society data, credit/no credit, holds, petitions. Assist with major changes. Responds to New Student Orientation and students regarding permissions for enrollment and adjusting course capacities. Interacting with various departments around campus to ensure enrollment, scholarship and financial aid issues are addressed for students as needed.
SAS Administrative Support and Office Responsibilities – 35%
Provide general administrative support to the School of Business Student and Academic Services office. This position requires the highest standard of confidentiality and accuracy with regard to School of Business student records in accordance with FERPA. Assist office staff with scheduling appointments and special assignments as needed. Attend staff meetings, providing information to staff as requested. Assist with Marketing Extension Program enrollment and verification.
Undergraduate Certification of Plans and Sub-plans - 20%
Investigate, process, track and follow-up with students regarding graduation requirements after receiving Application for Degrees (AFD). Maintain graduation list and answer questions students may have about their coursework. Assist Dean’s office with verifying commencement program. Conduct final checks after graduation, rescind AFD’s as needed and process retroactive graduation requests. Respond to student requests for confirmation of degrees and expected graduation date letters.
