Position Purpose
Serves as Administrative Assistant for the Office of the President to include: managing schedules for the President and Presidential staff, monitoring routine and special project deadlines, hear and resolve customer complaints in accordance with University policies and procedures, coordinate travel for the President and other office staff, work with the Director of University Events on President hosted/sponsored events, prepare general correspondence/reports, and prepare presentations as needed.
Serve as office manager to include supervision of student workers, establishment of best practices for general office operations (file system, equipment, inventory, supplies, etc.)
Maintains office-operating budgets, prepares financial records and reconciles to University account reports. Prepares and reviews payment requests, business procurement card transactions, and travel expenses submitted by the President, Board of Governors, and other office staff. To ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Bachelor’s degree In any field required.  Bachelor’s degree in English, Office Administration, Student Personnel Administration, or related field preferred.
Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education based on the following equivalencies: AA = 2 years; BA/BS = 4 years; MA/MS = 6 years; PhD = 8 years.
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Other - Internet. Web page maintenance preferred.
Experience
Three (3) years advanced administrative assistant and/or executive secretary experience assisting a high-level administrator (e.g., president, vice president, dean, department chair, or director). Five (5) years preferred.
One (1) year budget operations, financial analysis, or accounting experience required. Two (2) years preferred.
