Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 This position reports directly to the Directors within the Simulation Center and works with various stakeholders across the university and community, supporting the day to day work of the center.
Description:
Coordinate departmental purchases through the Belmont Purchasing System, ensuring delivery, invoice payment and budget allocation.
Serves as a first point-of-contact for students and visitors (by phone and in person).
Provides information to faculty, staff, students and general public related to Belmont University and College policy, procedures, and general operations.
Interacts effectively and professionally with numerous persons and organizations on and off campus.
Coordinates room reservations in the Simulation Center using Belmont scheduling program and Simulation software.
Oversees department web site and ensures updates are done in a timely manner.
Supports various recruiting activities under the direction of the Sim Center Directors.

• Must have working understanding of budgeting and bookkeeping.
• Ability to work with numerous software programs including Word, Excel, and Office.
• Ability to learn Belmont systems such as Banner, Argos, and Hannon Hill.
• Must possess general working knowledge of busy office settings and use of equipment.
• Must be a self-motivated person with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently with frequent interruptions and be able to effectively handle multiple tasks. 
• Must be able to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, other staff members, and outside visitors to the department.
• Must be able to handle sensitive materials in a confidential manner.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Associate degree, Bachelor's Preferred
   
Required Education Associate Degree Preferred
  
Required Experience 2 years of Administrative Assistant responsibilities in an academic setting preferred.

The employee’s vision must be adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The position requires good manual dexterity. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing as necessary.
