Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking highly motivated candidates to join our team as an Admin Asst Sr. The position will join a growing team of professionals supporting Emergency Medicine programs at UM. Under the administrative direction of the Manager, Education Operations, the Admin Asst Sr will provide administrative support for education programs; including education faculty and office support. Assist with day to day operations of the education programs in a fast paced, busy environment.

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Provide administrative support to education faculty Make complex travel arrangements, calendar/schedule management Update CVs/bio sketches Financials, including use of concur, PCard, SOA Reconciliation, e-reconcile and business objects Oversight and input of Education Value Units (EVUs) for Emergency Medicine department metrics CoMet administrative tasks EDUCATION SUPPORT: Assist with all education initiatives and events Hurley EM tasks including residency evals and annual credentialing packets

OFFICE SUPPORT: Management of moving of offices, phones, etc. Conference room scheduling - EMCR Manage, order and upkeep medical supplies and office supplies Food ordering, setup, pickup/delivery, take down for Education Area Maintain upkeep of conference room, residents lounge and kitchen Lab Coats (ordering, delivery and pick up for cleaning) Mail Distribution Data entry/back log management Cross-training and other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years of administrative experience. Ability to work independently and work well with faculty and peers. Excellent computer skills. Perform with a very high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. Outstanding punctuation, spelling, grammar, proofreading, editing and formatting skills are required. Knowledge of electronic calendaring and the Microsoft Office Suite of Products, most specifically EXCEL. Must be able to organize / prioritize workload and maintain focused work in a high volume, deadline-driven environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and work to meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.


Desired Qualifications*

Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures.

Background Screening
