Job Summary
The AAI and AAII positions provide administrative support for both Faculty and Students in the Jindal School of Management. These positions manage duties essential to the success of JSOM students, faculty and staff. The Administrative Assistants provide outstanding customer service to the JSOM by answering emails, phone calls and in person inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Education and Experience
Administrative Assistant I:
Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Administrative Assistant II:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of office administration or project management experience including two years at an Administrative Assistant I level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Administrative Assistant I
This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to multiple faculty. Provides guidance to faculty and graduate students regarding university/state policies and procedures pertaining to purchasing and ordering, travel and reimbursement, account reconciliation, and room/resource access. Responsible for the business operations of the department including but not limited to travel set up and itinerary, hotel reservation, expense reimbursement, account reconciliation, office filling system, preparation of course-related materials, etc. Provide support to other admins in the department when needed.
Administrative Assistant II
Provides advanced support for faculty and students in the Jindal School of Management. Will make decisions and interpret administrative policies, maintain and monitor financial records, perform monthly financial account reconciliation and reporting, prepare vouchers, act as liaison to payroll, human resources and handle related responsibilities. Will coordinate travel, calendars, correspondence, reports. Will coordinate events. Assure accuracy of data and security of assets, comply with laws and policies, function as liaison between departments and other duties as required. The desired employee is detail oriented, possesses excellent customer service skills and is able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
