The Administrative Assistant III provides day to day administrative and clerical support to the Department of Internal Medicine Divisions of Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary Medicine and Infectious Disease and reports to the Senior Manager for Academic Support. They perform complex, advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties at the highest function level.  Duties include but are not limited to administrative functions such as event planning, calendaring, email event planning and coordination, communication, coordinating and supporting departmental meetings (both face to face and virtual), managing information on various web-based platforms, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing strong customer service.

The successful candidates should have strong attention to details, the ability to multi-task, work with time-sensitive deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment. A successful Administrative Assistant candidate will be proactive, strategic, and organized so that they are able to balance a wide range of responsibilities in the support of their department.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's Degree preferred;
6 years' administrative and/or office management experience;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Superior knowledge of administrative and clerical duties including customer service, accuracy and attention to detail, phone, and email etiquette.
Must have or possess the ability to gain proficiency with other web-based office and campus technologies, including platforms for virtual meetings, such as Zoom and Teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment.
Customer service focus including the ability to assess inquiries and provide appropriate information or resolution using judgment and available resources, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
