Job Summary

Perform administrative duties that support the Accessibility Resources' Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (AR/RCDHH). Key responsibilities include primary scheduler for the school's interpreting needs, maintain Accessibility Information Management system, coordinate all assistive technology needs, and assist students receiving testing accommodations.


Essential Duties

Monitor, process, and schedule interpreting needs for students, staff, faculty, and applicable community-wide events.
Audit and maintain an inventory of all assistive technology and locations of software applications on all TCC computers utilizing the Accessibility Information Management (AIM) system. 
Coordinate and demonstrate the use of accommodation equipment and assistive technology, including but not limited to, Zoom, Dragon, Glean, Jaws, Blackboard, general IT and AT issues, etc.
Support students receiving testing accommodations by collaborating with the Testing Center and faculty. This can include remote proctoring, distributing appropriate support materials when needed, troubleshooting technology errors, and monitoring online tests in accordance with college policies and procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Degree
Knowledge of Deaf Culture.
Effective spoken and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with others.
Ability to perform responsibilities under one’s own initiative with general supervision.
3 years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent education in an appropriate discipline. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
Experience in higher education.
