Description

As an Administrative Assistant 2 in the Contact Lens clinic in Westwood, you will provide front office administrative support. You will be the first point of contact for patients seeking care from our Optometrists. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Check-in patients upon arrival * Collect insurance information and co-payments * Schedule appointments * Prepare patient charts * Coordinate prior authorizations Salary Range: $24.57-34.87 Hourly



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Required: * One year of experience working in a medical practice. * Familiarity with current patient billing practices. * Interactional skills sufficient to promote comfortable and effective communications with patients, doctors and staff. * Personable and friendly in nature. * Ability to maintain professionalism with all patients including patients with challenging personalities. * Ability to prioritize job responsibilities. * Ability to respond quickly and calmly to urgent requests by faculty Preferred: * One year of experience scheduling patient appointments in computerized scheduling system. * Working knowledge of Ophthalmology terminology.
