Job Overview

Under general supervision and the lead direction of the Administrative Coordinator and Psychology Department Chair, the incumbent provides office and clerical support for the Psychology Department. Provides information and assistance to current and prospective students regarding Department programs.  Provides front-line administrative support for full time and part time faculty associated with the Psychology Department. Assists under the guidance of the lead worker to maintain department in program development.

Position Summary

Administrative Assistant (Administrative Support Assistant I)

This is a part time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $1,560 - $1,650 per month (part-time, equivalent range)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $1,560 - $1,914 per month (part-time, equivalent range)
