Position Summary Information
General Information | The College of Business at James Madison University seeks to hire three part-time administrative professionals to provide support to full-time administrative professionals, faculty, and academic programs. These positions will work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year, and are not anticipated to work during summers. Hours are flexible between 8am and 5pm. Part time administrative professionals will work together to ensure core business hours, defined as 9am – 3pm, Monday through Friday are covered. |

Duties and Responsibilities | The successful candidates will help manage the administrative office for the Academic Unit Heads as well as full- and part-time faculty within the College of Business. Duties include, but are not limited to, training and supervising graduate and undergraduate student employees, preparation of mass examinations, maintenance of course files, providing assistance with hiring new faculty, creating enrollment queries and other reports as needed. The successful candidates will manage class entry and course registrations for both departments and provide accurate reporting of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) database material. Additional duties include the preparation of state and foundation travel authorizations and travel reimbursements and general correspondence. Some event planning will be required. |
