David Creswell’s Health and Human Performance lab is located in the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Our lab works at the interface between health psychology, social psychology, and health neuroscience. We study stress and coping, focusing on stress management strategies (e.g., self-affirmation, cognitive reappraisal, social connection) and interventions (e.g., mindfulness meditation) for understanding stress resilience processes. The Health and Human Performance Lab (PI: David Creswell) invites applications for a full-time administrative assistant and lab communications director position, to begin Fall 2023! Initial appointment will be for 1-year, with additional years contingent upon performance.
This position will involve supporting lab administrative needs and will work closely with Dr. David Creswell on email management, calendar scheduling, lab activities management, and supporting our ongoing research activities and personnel. This position will also require flexibility to support a variety of various lab outreach activities, including social media accounts, website, writing press releases, and regular press sound editing for our lab podcast.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least three years office management experience and/or administrative experience
  • Prior experience working in higher education is helpful but not required
