Clinical Education Coordinator "Administrative Assistant 3"

Position serves as administrative support for the Clinical Education program in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, database management and data entry to clinical rotation management systems, tracking and communicating with and between students and various university entities regarding rotation requirements (health screens, immunizations, IDs, background checks, etc.), preparation of communications between SHRS and outside hospital systems to facilitate student placement, arranging travel for site visits, and assisting Program Coordinator with preparation and management of affiliation agreements and legal correspondence with clinical partners.

Secondary and support functions include administrative support for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Position serves as a member of the overall School Administration, by serving on committees, event planning/coordination, backup for other staff roles, and other duties as needed (e.g. communication with Facilities Operations and Development, submitting work orders and maintenance requests, coordination of assets and asset tracking for SHRS, travel arranging, and purchasing of teaching equipment and supplies).

Position pay range starts at $20.53/hour.


Additional Information:
Primary Duties

  • Database management and data entry to maintain the clinical rotation management systems used by the School, as well as support for maintenance of program specific databases.
  • Working with the Division Clinical Education Faculty and staff, coordinator tracks student compliance with immunizations and health screens, drug screens, background checks, and other clinical-based requirements. Follows up with students regarding compliance status and liaises with Student Health to facilitate documentation errors/complications. Serves as backup for Clinical Education Program Coordinator.
  • Assists programs with the administrative and communication pieces of clinical rotation placement annual mailings, offer solicitation, offer preparation/clarification, etc. Arrange travel for Clinical Education Activities across the School. Coordinate preceptor gifts and track CEU trainings/offerings.
  • Serves as a member of the overall School Administration, by serving on committees, event planning/coordination, backup for other staff and building coordinator, and other duties as needed.

In addition to the hard-skills, this candidate will be able to interface well with students, faculty, staff and leadership in a way that positively represents the programs.
