Summary of Duties:
The Steve Gleason Institute for Neuroscience is seeking an experienced and customer service-orientated Administrative Assistant 3.  With delegated authority, this position is responsible for developing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the administrative, personnel, business, and fiscal functions for the Steve Gleason Institute for Neuroscience.  The position has advisory, budgetary, and supervisory duties and responsibility. 

Required Qualifications


High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience related to executive office management and business administration.
  • Related experience at WSU or other higher education institution.
  • Experience with state and government regulations pertaining to fiscal management.

Monthly Salary: Range 40, $1,623 - $2,162 (pro-rated at .50 FTE) – Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28t.
