As part of the administrative staff within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), serves as primary point of contact for the Aerospace Engineering (AE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Nuclear Engineering (NE) programs.

Provides general administrative support to program directors, faculty, staff, and students. Coordinates mailings; arranges meetings and events sponsored by the program. Coordinates external advisory board meetings for NE. Prepares materials for faculty; responds to inquiries concerning the programs; attends program meetings and drafts and distributes minutes; manages federal and industry fellowship/scholarship applications and due dates for NE programs. Maintains information for NE minor. Supports faculty recruitment efforts including advertising, coordination of applications, and coordination of interview scheduling. Coordinates travel for departmental guests as needed. Supports graduate student recruitment efforts. Ensures lab personnel are cognizant of and follow all current departmental, college, and university expenditure policies. Manages procurement process for the labs.


Reports to administrative assistant to the department chair of MAE and provides support as needed for special projects and events. Serves as backup for other office administrative associate positions within the department.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $17.74 - $23.63 per hour.

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.



Additional Information:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience in office administration required. 2-4 years of relevant experience in office administration preferred.
