Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Administrative Analyst IV for the Office of Education at the Dean’s Office at the New Jersey Medical School. Under the direction of the Program Administrator, the Administrative Analyst IV will provide administrative support to the clerkship directors and the Clinical Skills Center in all aspects of the Simulation based training activities.  This includes database maintenance of training for all simulation activities at the center and the Standardized Patient Program (database maintenance of training cases and evaluations, correspondence, travel advance/report forms, invoicing and simulation set-up). Prepares all materials for examination sessions, which include exam room set-up and scheduling training activities; tracks inventory and other supplies needed for office and examination rooms. Assists with the day-to-day operations of the facility for all activities. Simulation activities include OSCEs, virtual and all task trainer and high-fidelity simulation activities. (* SP = Standardized Patient; Objective Structured Clinical Exams = OSCE).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Serves as a critical interface between the clerkship directors, clinical faculty, and medical students, supporting all components of their education, including distribution of syllabi, scheduling, beepers, scrubs and other clerkship responsibilities as needed.
  • Monitoring the clerkship to ensure they are meeting accreditation standards specifically those related to direct observations, student evaluations, and grade submissions.
  • Responsible for remote proctoring of student exams, including NBME as well as ExamSoft; monitoring, tracking and managing students’ patient encounter entries as required by clerkships and to notify students who do not comply with fulfilling this aspect of their clerkship.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum two years of experience performing related tasks in a college environment.
