Management Intern
Job Description
The Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking a Management Intern to assist in administrative and marketing duties. This full-time, temporary position will provide professional level administrative support to the Global Education Office, assisting with general administration projects, research and analysis, procedural studies, and marketing and outreach. Collaborates with Marketing Coordinator in order to gain working knowledge and experience related to department administration and marketing.

Essential Duties
Serves in an intern capacity for the Global Education Office, which will include the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assistance in supervising student workers and student worker scheduling
- Assistance in event coordination and promotion with the Marketing Coordinator
- Front desk coverage, including answering phone calls, managing student application materials, general secretarial duties and responding to general office emails
- Manage publishing of content to GEO social media channels, creating branded content and assisting with social strategy
- Assistance with graphic design needs, website updates, copy writing needs and any marketing duties as assigned
- Analyzes procedures and makes recommendations for improvement
- Participate in regular staff meetings and special projects with GEO staff as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in effective time management and organizational skills
- Experience in Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and project management apps
- Experience designing graphics for web, social media and print flyers/posters
- Evidence of participation in a study abroad or internship program preferred
- Experience in customer service and professional office setting
Working Environment
- Professionally represent department/program
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Work collaboratively across various departments within the University as well as with diverse populations and groups
- Use computers - including inputting, reviewing and retrieving information, extended periods of viewing screen, and using mouse and keyboard
- Travel throughout campus or to other campuses for meetings or events, regardless of the weather
- Lift up to 20 lbs.
