The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is one of 51 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country. Position Summary
The Admin Team Lead position will provide additional support for the Administrative Operations Team. This position is a critical piece to the ever-growing team that supports faculty around the Center. The Admin Team Lead will support the Administrative Operations Manager with onboarding and training new Administrative Support Associates. This position will serve as a go-to for administrative support for troubleshooting with various administrative tasks. The Admin Team lead will effectively communicate information to team members; have the ability to work independently; have an in-depth knowledge of organizational structure, functions, and best practices; perform project management duties; facilitate business processes and operations following university policies and procedures; possess technical knowledge, skills and ability to perform the job; oversee travel arrangements and travel expense reporting process for the entire Admin team; assist with troubleshooting issues faced on Admin team; facilitate team meetings; and prepare monthly reports for the Administrative Operations Manager. While serving in a guidance capacity, the Admin Team Lead will also perform administrative support duties to a portfolio of faculty.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Must have previous administrative support experience for Principal Investigators in an academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Demonstrated experience in coordinating and leading teams and/or direct supervisory experience strongly preferred.
