Reporting to the DIITOS Logistics Manager, the CLICC Logistics Administrator CLICC-LA) is responsible for supporting CLICC operations and services with administrative and logistical support. This position provides administrative oversight for CLICC spaces and services, including the coordination of communications and pertinent data among DIIT and Library administrative staff. The CLICC Logistics Administrator manages workflows, processes, accounts and data related to CLICC's use of Library systems all in support of CLICC operations. The CLICC-LA supports the management and security of DIIT-CLICC spaces for staff and students. The CLICC-LA assists in monitoring and supporting day-to-day operations in all CLICC spaces including daily operations supervision, operational hours maintenance, access and communications for CLICC services and staff. This position serves as lead to Library Human Resources for CLICC student staff onboarding and off-boarding. Coordinates CLICC student staff hiring and administrative personnel tasks including onboarding, off-boarding. Assists as hiring manager for CLICC and DIIT student staff. Contributes to continuous improvement and delivers value to the department by monitoring the scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues of projects, particularly those projects and services related to unit and departmental administration and logistics. Performs and / or oversees special projects or assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. Serves as a member of the CLICC Clique and CLICC Leadership team. Core functions and duties listed could be performed twenty (20%) offsite or remotely.
The Logistics team is part of the Digital Initiatives & Information Technology Operations Services (DIITOS) functional unit and provides procurement, administrative and logistical support for DIIT and the UCLA Library. The Logistics team manages technology (equipment and applications) inventory, technology sourcing, and technology procurement the UCLA Library and CLICC.
The Digital Initiatives & Information Technology Operations Services (DIITOS) provides operational support and service for the Library including technical project management, instructional technology services, staff productivity and service area technology. This unit includes the following teams: Technology Innovation Services, Logistics, Project Management & Reports, and Learning & Research Technology Services (LRTS). These teams also work cross-functionally to manage the Campus Library Instructional Computing Commons (CLICC) services such as equipment lending and innovative technology support for use in teaching and learning. The Digital Initiatives & Information Technology Operations group (DIITOS) is a functional unit of the information technology unit called DIIT.
Digital Initiatives and Information Technology (DIIT) department is comprised of over 50 staff members in six functional units: 1) the Software Development Team, 2) the Core Ops Team, which focuses on servers, storage, security, networks, and other library infrastructure, 3) the Operations Services Teams which provide hardware and software support to staff and library users, manage learning and research technology services, and run student technology services (CLICC), 4) the Data Science Center which provides training, consultation, and a data repository for campus researchers, 5) the Digital Library Program which works with partners, both internal to UCLA and across the globe, to execute projects that digitize, describe, and publish archival materials, and 6) the Modern Endangered Archives Program, a granting program that funds digitization and documentation projects around the world to preserve at-risk cultural heritage materials.
