Job Description

Full/Part-time adjunct instructor(s) needed for teaching chemistry laboratory and possibly lecture courses for spring 2023.  Varies with course schedule.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.

  • Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.

  • Laboratory teaching experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Working towards or has earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Broad training in chemistry.

  • Experience with non-traditional commuter university settings.

  • Experience with a culturally diverse student body.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.

  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching.

  • Excellent (1) oral and written communication skills and (2) presentation skills.
