Adjunct Professor - Philosophy

The Richmond Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses (critical thinking, logic, reasoning, and ethics).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Corresponds routinely with the Dean of Instruction.
  • Fosters academic excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Instruct students in accordance with College policies/curricula.
  • Effectively prepares for class and encourages students to participate in College activities.
  • Supports College extracurricular functions.
  • Remains current in the teaching field through professional development.
  • Prepares and submits Beginning-of-Term and, End-of-Term paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinates student internships and assists in recruiting internship sites.
  • Promotes campus activities.
  • Provides instruction for day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
  • Provides instruction in face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities. 
  • Maintains technological proficiency, including Microsoft products (Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s in Philosophy

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Leadership, integrity, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
