Job Summary:

The USF Department of Mathematics is seeking part-time faculty to teach lower-division courses in math and statistics. Our ideal candidate will create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, and help to foster an appreciation of the beauty, power, and utility of math and statistics.

Preferred qualifications


• Ph.D. or M.S. in relevant area(s), and post-secondary teaching experience.

• Willingness to work in a culturally diverse environment, including engaging with and uplifting BIPOC students.


Job Responsibilities:
Course learning outcomes (and with some exceptions, textbooks) have been set by the Math Department, and these must be addressed in the course content. The lecturer will have flexibility in how the content is delivered and how student learning is evaluated.  We are usually able to provide an undergraduate grader and class sizes are typically 25--35 students.
