Job Summary:

The University of San Francisco's Masters in Data Science Program is seeking industry experts for a part-time instructor position. We are looking for individuals with industry experience and expertise in data engineering to teach on-site and in-person classes in our newly launched data engineering concentration program starting in Fall 2023. Full Job Description:

This position is responsible for developing and delivering a project-based/industry-focused class(es) to our graduate students.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach the following courses:

  • MSDS 680 - Machine Learning Operations

  • MSDS 682 - Data Stream Processing

  • MSDS 683 - Data Architecture

Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed. The number of these temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the program. Appointments are offered on a course-by-course basis, and appointment length is based on course section schedule(s). Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Preferred qualification

  • Ph.D. in relevant areas with at least 1 year of industry experience or M.S. in relevant areas with at least 5 years of industry experience.
