Job Summary:

The University of San Francisco (USF) Engineering Department is looking for an instructor for Analog Electronics for the Spring 2024 semester.

Full Job Description:

The engineering program at USF is a student-focused, hands-on program immersed in a Jesuit liberal arts education. The analog electronics course provides engineering and science majors with a practical background in analog electronics. The course offers an introduction to methods of electronics measurements, particularly the application of oscilloscopes and computer-based data acquisition, and computer simulations of electronic circuits. Topics covered include electronic fundamentals, diodes, transistors, operational amplifiers, filters, and integrated circuits. Emphasis is placed on practical knowledge, including prototyping, troubleshooting, and simulating electronic circuits.

The class is 6 units or credits, meeting three times per week for ~2 hours each. In addition, the instructor will hold office hours. Preferred qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience teaching undergraduates.
