Job Title:  Percussion Instructor-Steel Band Director

Job Classification:  Adjunct Faculty - Evening School instruction, Tue/Thu 4-5:30pm and Fri 3-5:50pm

Required Degree: Bachelor's degree required.  Master's degree preferred

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:  Preference will be given to candidates that have substantial orchestral, drum set, 4 mallet, and marching percussion instruction at the collegiate level. 

Duties/Expectations

  • Teach applied percussion lessons to music majors and non-majors.  Lesson schedule to be determined as availability permits.
  • Mentor and help students prepare repertoire for ensemble and recital performances.
  • Work with drumline during sectionals, full drumline rehearsals, and/or drumline within band rehearsal context.
