Position Summary Information


Duties
Athens State University invites applications for adjunct intern supervisor positions within the city and county school systems for the following areas: Jackson County, AL, Lauderdale County, AL, Madison County, AL, Jefferson County, AL, Franklin County, AL, and Lincoln County, TN. These positions are part-time, non-tenured positions, supervising an assigned number of undergraduate students completing their internship (student teaching) per semester. Previous teaching is preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. 
Salary Schedule
Salary is based upon number of assigned students as determined by the University.

University Information
Located in historic Athens, Alabama, Athens State University offers junior and senior-level coursework to community college graduates and transfer students holding sufficient credits from other institutions. Presently, over 3,100 students have selected Athens State because of its neighborly environment where 50 majors and degree programs are offered, with courses taught by a supportive and exceptional faculty. Approximately 80% of the students are enrolled in at least one online course. The typical student is a working adult who commutes. The University offers undergraduate degree programs in Liberal Arts, Teacher Preparation, and Business.
