Job Overview

The School of Human Services, which provides instruction in Behavior Analysis, Counseling (Mental Health and School), Health Promotion and Education (Community Health and Exercise), School Psychology, Sport Administration, and Substance Abuse Counseling, is looking for qualified professionals and educators to be included in the general pool of candidates for term adjunct instructor positions. Courses are taught at all levels from undergraduate to graduate (master’s and doctoral).

 

Classes needing adjunct instruction are offered during the day, the evening and online, in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

 

We are looking for highly qualified individuals who have content expertise in their disciplines, appropriate degrees and training relative to the courses to be taught, are passionate about sharing their knowledge, who are reliable, dedicated to high standards for instruction, committed to working collaboratively with programs to meet instructional objectives, and able to work independently.


Essential Functions
  • Teaching is assigned on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.
  • Adjunct faculty members will be expected to use our course management system (Blackboard), conform to school standards for instruction/courses, and operate within program expectations for specific courses.
  • Office hours (can be virtual) are required in order to meet with students as needed.

Required Education
  • A master’s degree in the subject area, or a closely related area to the subject that will be taught, is required for undergraduate class instruction.
  • Graduate instruction requires a degree advanced beyond the level of the course.
