Job Summary
The Department of Kinesiology and Community Health invites applicants for Adjunct Instructor/Lecturer positions who may be called on to teach and/or develop courses online and/or in-person in the following curricular areas: Public/Community Health

  • Health Administration
  • Kinesiology
  • Interdisciplinary Health. The courses will be taught to undergraduate and graduate students from health majors as well as other fields. This is a part-time, as needed-basis, non-tenure track position.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree is required, and Master and Doctoral degree are preferred. Bachelor's degree may be sufficient with demonstrated specialization in specified areas and/or other exceptional circumstances. For Adjunct Lecturer consideration, candidates must have a terminal PhD degree, while Adjunct Instructors must hold a Master's and/or Bachelor's. Successful candidates should have these degrees in relevant health fields of Public Health, Community Health, Health Administration, Kinesiology or related fields. Applicants must also have demonstrated excellence in teaching.
    General Information
    The Department of Kinesiology & Community Health (KCH) hosts a diverse group of faculty, students, and staff (https://ahs.illinois.edu/kch-directory ) working and learning in a collegial and collaborative environment. KCH offers BS degrees in Community Health, Interdisciplinary Health, and Kinesiology; MS and PhD degrees in Community Health and Kinesiology; an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling; a nationally accredited MPH program; a nationally accredited MHA (health administration) program; and a MSHT (health technology) program. The KCH Department is part of the College of Applied Health Sciences (http://ahs.illinois.edu )
    Appointment Information
    This is a 100% full-time Academic position, appointed on a 9-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 8/16/2024. Salary is $3,000 to $6,000 per course, and commensurate with qualifications and course load taught.
