Position Overview
The College of Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program invites candidates with classroom or clinical expertise and strong teaching skills to submit applications for a nursing instructor position. The position requires excellence in teaching and strong communication and collaboration skills. This faculty role includes assessment, implementation, coordination and evaluation of course curriculum; development, implementation and coordination of learning resources; continual monitoring of participant progress; and collaboration with other stakeholders, disciplines and departments internal and external to Marquette University. In addition, faculty will also promote the values, mission and vision of Marquette University.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Commitment to continued development of excellence in teaching and service.
  • Ability to direct and lead students effectively, communicating with faculty and administration.
  • Provide leadership in improving and sustaining the quality and effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Provide direct supervision of nursing students in clinical sites or classroom settings.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree in nursing required; completion or substantial progress toward the terminal degree preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Online teaching experience highly desirable for didactic instruction.
