We are seeking Instructors to teach multiple courses in the field of Film and Television, including Producing I, Introduction to Film and Television Industries, International Film and Television Business, Professional Practices, Creating for Television, Social Media Production, Senior Seminar in Film & TV, and Film & TV History. These courses are for the new online Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television in the School of Theatre, Film & Television located in the College of Fine Arts. The degree is offered through Arizona Online in an asynchronous, fully virtual environment. Faculty teach remotely and do not need to reside in Arizona.

Candidates working anywhere in the U.S. may be considered for a remote assignment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in five or seven-week terms during Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions.
  • Grade assignments, monitor student progress, and ensure students accomplish established learning objectives.
  • Engage with students using email, D2L chat, and Zoom.
  • Communicate with the program Director regarding any course-related issues.
  • Possible additional duties include updating curriculum and course materials; participating in new course development; and working with other faculty and department staff and advisors to gain insight into department procedures and protocols.
  • Successful candidates have the opportunity to develop online courses in their area of expertise. Courses include; International Film and Television Business, Creating for Television, Social Media Production, and Senior Seminar in Film & TV.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in film/media or requisite professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of teaching or mentoring experience at college-level.
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must be able to teach course topics within an inclusive and culturally responsive context.
  • Must be comfortable working independently and remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of teaching at college-level.
  • At least 1 year of teaching fully online.
