Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Master of Health Informatics program seeks term adjunct faculty who can teach and develop (when need arises) online courses focused on human factors, usability, and workflow, data science programming (including database design and modeling), health IT and standards, privacy and security, and leadership and management.

 

This is a pooled position that will remain open. Candidates will be contacted as/if specific teaching opportunities present.


Essential Functions
  • On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
  • May serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.

Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics (HI) or a closely related discipline with work experience in HI.
  • Teaching experience.
  • At least 3-5 years recent industry experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Doctoral degree in Health Informatics (HI) or a closely related discipline with work experience in HI.
  • Online course development experience.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • Exceptional time management and customer service skills.
