Job Summary
 
The School of Social Science and Global Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach lower level economics courses either online or face-to-face. The primary responsibility of this position will be teaching a one-semester survey course, principles of microeconomics, and/or principles of macroeconomics. 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Teach economics classes as needed.
  • Attend program meetings as determined by the program coordinator. 
  • Follow all university, college, and school policies regarding teaching practices and job performance. 
  • Be responsive to communication from students, staff, and administration. 
  • Hold regular office hours. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    18 graduate hours of Economics. Graduate degree in related field. 

    Preferred Qualifications  
     
    Graduate degree in Economics and experience with online teaching. Experience with Canvas.
