Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Teach graduate level courses that supports the Human Sciences graduate program and contribute to student learning in a variety of areas including but not limited to the following: marriage, family and individual therapy, psychotherapy, and related topics.

  • Advise graduate students and assist with the recruitment of students into the Human Sciences graduate program.

  • Engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, college, university, community and professional organizations.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy or a closely related clinical field, preferably from a CACREP and/or COAMFT program.

  • 1 to 2 years of undergraduate and or graduate teaching experience.

  • Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the ability for effective teaching and scholarship.

  • Demonstrate support of professional organizations in the discipline
