Adjunct Instructor, Global Alliance

The Global Alliance is seeking highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach across the globe and to support its mission of facilitating student and faculty mobility and interaction across institutions and borders. The Global Alliance seeks adjunct faculty members to teach courses in its various programs.

Candidates for this position would join a strong team of dedicated professionals at the Global Alliance. Qualified candidates can be interviewed by appointment via Zoom or in person. Only candidates who meet all of the specified criteria will be invited to interview.

Adjunct faculty will report Dr. Jim H. Lee, Executive Director.

 The salary range is $3,500 - $5,000.00 per course/semester.

 Academic Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Global Alliance guidelines and expectations for quality faculty engagement
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
  • Attend discipline-specific and administrative meetings for adjunct faculty as scheduled
  • Maintain subject-matter currency by participating in discipline-related professional communities
  • Contribute to the development of dynamic co-curricular activities for students
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student success
  • Support Global Alliance initiatives and departments
  • Teach courses using the assigned learning management platform
  • Deliver effective and engaging lessons to students
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, case analyses, presentations and papers within the time frame set forth by Global Alliance policy, providing effective feedback to guide student learning and success
  • Respond to students' questions and requests in a timely, professional manner
  • Facilitate discussion boards using interactive media as well as promote critical thinking in working with students

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Earned graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution in the field of teaching specialization 
  • Professional experience in the field of teaching specialization
  • Experience working with learning management systems, student information systems, basic email and office suite software and advanced educational technologies and web tools

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to complete required training in effective teaching strategies and methods
  • Significant professional experience in the field of teaching specialization
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, comparable applications, web-conferencing tools, presentation software and learning management systems.
