Position Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals are being sought to establish a pool of readily available talented persons from which these vacancies are filled as they occur. The adjunct instructor is responsible for teaching masters-level counseling graduate courses face to face, in hybrid and online formats using Canvas. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching and student success.

UNT Dallas is hiring for a variety of Counseling and School classes as we begin to further grow our programs of which may include the following positions to begin, Summer 2020 semester.
• Group Counseling
• Family Counseling
• Substance Abuse Treatment
• Professional School Counseling
• Practicum in School Counseling
• Career Counseling

Minimum Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Counselor Education or a closely related field from a CACREP University
• A Licensed Professional Counselor with two years of experience or other closely related licensure in a counseling field
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• experience in online/hybrid instruction
• Proven teaching excellence in graduate instruction or professional development trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
For School Counseling Classes:
• A Texas Certified School Counseling
• 3 years of school counseling experience
• School Counseling Supervision experience
• Knowledge and experience with TEA
• Membership in State and National School Counseling Organizations
For Clinical Mental Health Classes:
• Experience in Group Counseling and Family Systems
• A strong teaching background with diverse populations
• Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.
• Knowledge of CACREP
• Membership in State and National professional organizations
• Bilingual skills a plus.
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
As required to meet the academic schedule.
