Job Description:

CBU is always interested in finding people who would like to share their expertise by teaching with us. While we have an ongoing need for Adjunct (Part-Time) Professors for daytime and evening classes, that need isn't always immediate or imminent. Classes may be scheduled for Fall, Spring, or Summer session.

Essential Functions: Provides oversight of clinical activities of students, including student assignments, clinical selection, teaching material, and supervision of student skills. Provide direction, coordination, and development of clinical activities, working closely with the Faculty of Record for each course. Works with the faculty of the Nursing Program to create learning activities to meet accreditation and facility standards.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of three years nursing experience.
• Current or eligible for an active, unencumbered Tennessee  registered nursing license or multistate licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in TN.
• Ability to foster excellence in teaching.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and honesty.
• Organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and see them implemented.
• Flexibility and appreciation of diversity.
• Current knowledge of registered nursing practices.

Preferred:

• A Master's Degree in Nursing with at least three years of nursing experience.
• Current experience within a Memphis-area health care system is preferred.
• Previous teaching and/or work experience is preferred.
